China Aluminum Extrusion Administrative Reviews On July 9, the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated the latest annual administrative reviews of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China. The antidumping review covers imports from May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026, while the countervailing duty review covers calendar year 2025. These reviews are crucial to maintaining the effectiveness of the China aluminum extrusion orders. Commerce will examine the sales and subsidy activity of the companies included in the reviews and determine the appropriate duty assessment and cash deposit rates for reviewed exporters and producers. The China orders remain a cornerstone of AEC’s trade enforcement program. AEC will continue participating actively in the reviews to help ensure that the orders provide meaningful relief from unfairly traded imports. The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) has led the U.S. aluminum extrusion industry in achieving level competition by winning tariff protection that offsets unfair trade practices of extruders/importers of aluminum profiles produced in China. Our efforts have been of enormous value to domestic extruders and suppliers. Conservatively, an estimated 800 million pounds per year of extrusions are being produced in the U. S. that would have otherwise been lost to China.
